So, what is a Service Advisor?
Service advisors act as a liaison between customers who need service performed on their vehicles and the technicians who will perform those services. These auto service experts are usually employed at dealerships or independent service facilities. While developing strong relationships with customers as a service advisor, you must understand their concerns and questions and have the ability and confidence to help solve them. Service Advisors must also have the unique ability to translate and communicate a variety of information between the customer and the technician (and vice versa). Service Advisors prepare work orders for technicians, quotes for customers and manage the billing of customers when service is complete.
Excellent customer service skills are also necessary for this job, and you must be able to handle customer questions and concerns. Service Advisors should be well-organized and pay attention to detail in order to meet company and customer standards.
Lastly – Before applying for this position, we suggest that you view Glenshaw Auto Service’s customer reviews on Google to get a better understanding of the culture and the value we place on the entire customer experience. If you believe you would thrive in this environment, we invite you to apply.
