Glenshaw Auto Service Inc. is Hiring a Service Advisor Near Glenshaw, PA

SERVICE ADVISOR

Are you a self starter who’s looking for a career… and not just another job? Someone who wants to be given ownership of their role within a team and given the trust to deliver? Do you take pride in checking to-do tasks off the list and appreciate a position where every day provides a different opportunity? Do you have an entrepreneurial and sales spirit?

Before you read further, while we’re an automotive service facility, the description of the person/character that we just outlined (and will continue to below) is exponentially more valuable than an applicant who simply has experience in the automotive industry.

If you feel like this writeup is starting to describe you, Glenshaw Auto Service might have the perfect position for you. Here are some additional highlights about joining our team and our culture:

  • You will be empowered and given ownership of your role within the team (this means you won’t have a boss looking over your shoulder or checking in every five minutes).
  • If something’s out of place or a solution needs to be created, you will have the responsibility and flexibility to make it right and complete the task. This position does not allow for a, “That’s not my job” or a mindset of hoping that someone else handles it first.
  • Our environment thrives when working as a team, and no individual is greater than the team. Within our structure, when the team performs better, the team earns more… plus, doesn’t that just make life more enjoyable?
  • You will NOT have two days that look the same. If you’re someone who wants to sit at a desk from 9-5 everyday waiting for the weekend, this position isn’t for you (and we wish you the best).
  • We want someone who will bring a positive, can-do attitude every single day.
  • Our team has invested time, energy and money over the years to ensure a positive, drama-free workplace. We expect new team members to not only value and respect this, but build upon our positive culture.

If you think all of the above describes a situation where you can thrive individually and as a team member, continue reading to more job-specific duties for the role of Service Advisor.

So, what is a Service Advisor?

Service advisors act as a liaison between customers who need service performed on their vehicles and the technicians who will perform those services. These auto service experts are usually employed at dealerships or independent service facilities. While developing strong relationships with customers as a service advisor, you must understand their concerns and questions and have the ability and confidence to help solve them. Service Advisors must also have the unique ability to translate and communicate a variety of information between the customer and the technician (and vice versa). Service Advisors prepare work orders for technicians, quotes for customers and manage the billing of customers when service is complete.

Excellent customer service skills are also necessary for this job, and you must be able to handle customer questions and concerns. Service Advisors should be well-organized and pay attention to detail in order to meet company and customer standards.

Lastly – Before applying for this position, we suggest that you view Glenshaw Auto Service’s customer reviews on Google to get a better understanding of the culture and the value we place on the entire customer experience. If you believe you would thrive in this environment, we invite you to apply.

Hours: Monday - Thursday; 7:30AM - 5:30PM

Friday 7:30AM to 5:00PM

Lastly, we take care of our team. We offer great wages and an amazing benefit package.
